Liquid Lipstick Collection

Hey guys,
I'm back with my second collection post, & this time it's all about my liquid lipsticks. If you missed my first post you can read it here. Liquid lipsticks are an obsession which started in the past couple of years. I didn't even know they existed until last year, & now most brands are making their own!
I bought my first liquid lipstick this year, & now I prefer them to ordinary lipsticks, they're so much more pigmented, long lasting & comfortable to wear. I would just like to say all of these lipsticks have been purchased with my own money, I'm not in anyway bragging & I know my collection isn't as big as most beauty bloggers, but I'm proud of what I have. I'm just sharing what I love & hopefully giving inspiration to those who are wanting to purchase some but are not sure what colours/brands to go for. Please be aware that these liquid lipsticks do appear different colours on different skin tones.

The first of my collection is MACs Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade LadyBeGood, £21. I was literally waiting months after these launched to purchase this colour. I'm all about the nudes at the moment & this colour is the most natural nude of MACs collection. This is one of the few wearable shades in MACs collection.. I find most of them too bold to wear for everyday. This nude is very warm, with a slight hint of peach. A perfect shade for spring & summer.

Next was my first Dose of Colors liquid lipstick, in the shade Bare With Me, £14.50. You can buy it from the Dose of Colors website or BeautyBay's website. I got both of mine from BeautyBay but they hardly ever have the popular shades in stock, so you have to keep checking back to see if they've restocked. This is a really pretty peachy nude, a little bit more peachy than LadyBeGood.

This is my only Anastasia Beverley Hills liquid lipstick & it's in the shade Pure Hollywood. I bought this for around £23 on Depop, you can't actually get these liquid lipsticks anywhere other than the US so it's worth looking for them on Depop. I bought this off the girl who I've also bought Colourpop from so I knew she was a genuine seller.. her account name is lillyjam she sells brand new hard to get cosmetics, go check her out! This is my favourite liquid lipstick & it's not just for the colour, it has a lovely moussey texture & feels incredible on the lips!

Another Dose of Colors lipstick, this time it's in the shade Truffle. This is my preferred shade out of the two DoC shades that I own. It's a more darker, mauvey nude, this colour I imagine looks amazing on all skin tones.. It's such a beautiful wearable colour, that can be worn day or night.

The first of my Colourpop collection is this stunning dusty mauve, it's the shade Dopey! I got this from Depop the same seller as mentioned above for around £10. Colourpop are so reasonably priced I cannot get over them! I cannot wait until the ship to England so I can do a HUGE haul. This is in the Ultra Satin formula, it's a little more comfortable to wear on the lips than the Ultra Mattes, but there is a colour transfer when wearing these lipsticks.

This Colourpop one is an Ultra Matte, in the shade Beeper. Which is a warm taupe colours, absolutely beautiful to wear in the Autumn season. The staying power of these liquid lipsticks are insane & the colour choice is so good, there's something for everyone.

This is another Colourpop lipstick from the Ultra Matte range, this is in the shade Teeny Tiny. Which they describe it as a deep greyed out plum, which is actually a perfect description of this colour. For me this is a more night out colour, because it comes out quite dark on my skin tone, but for those with darker skin tones, this would be a beautiful everyday colour for you!

This is my last Ultra Satin lipstick, which is in the shade Mess Around. I really love this colour which a gorgeous golden, smoky eye in the evenings. This is a dark greyed out beige, which again I think would suit those with darker skin tones beautifully. This is something that I'd wear more in the summer when I've got a tan, because it does look a bit dark with my fair skin.

This is my last Colourpop liquid lipstick & it's in the shade Bad Habit. This was actually my first liquid lipstick from Colourpop, & what a beautiful start to my collection. This is a mauvey, plumy, pink.. really hard to describe but it's honestly a beautiful colour, I really recommend this to everyone. I am a lover of purpley tone lipsticks, & they suit every skin tone!

I apologise for this swatch, it was extremely messy! But this is MACs in the shade Dance With Me, another really pretty shade, this one is a cranberry red. So so sooooo beautiful for going out, or for formal occasions. This was my first ever liquid lipstick, & it really showed me what the obsession was all about!

That about rounds up all my liquid lipsticks.. which will definitely continue to grow over the next few months. I'd love for you to comment any recommendations of brands or colours to try. I'm always willing to purchase new liquid lipsticks!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow Review

Hey everyone.
I'm guessing you've all heard of & read many post about the Maybelline Colour Tattoos, I know I have. This is my first time trying these & I thought I'd give my thoughts about them.

The last time I went into town I purchased a couple of colours, as they were buy 1 get 1 half price at the time in boots.. I'm not sure if this offer is still going but they're £4.99 each which is really cheap anyway! I purchase the shades On And On Bronze & Crème De Rose. Funny story (well not that funny at all actually), I wasn't actually meant to get the colour Pink Gold, I swatch it on my hand & fell in love. I was going on about how gorgeous my hand looked for the rest of the day. It wasn't until I got home and wanted the use them, that I released I picked up the wrong colour. Someone had obviously put the tester back in the wrong place (how evil)! I was gutted.. But since then I purchase Pink Gold from Asos as they has 30% of beauty, so I'm waiting for that to arrive. Anyway back to the point. So I ended up with a shimmer & a matte, so it's not all that bad.

Since opening & switching them. I'm really glad I got Crème De Rose as it's the perfect base colour for any eyeshadow look & it looks really gorgeous on it's own if you're wanting to go for that natural/no makeup look. The way I describe the colour is your lids but better, it evens about the skin tone on your lids ready to apply more eyeshadow for a more dramatic look. On And On Bronze is just stunning. It has a metallic finish which gives off different tones which ever way you look at it.

After swatching these at home, I like them even more. They're so good for £4.99, It's made me wanting some more shades. Their staying power is insane, they last all day. I cannot wait for Pink Gold to arrive, to start growing my collection. These are raved about for a reason, you NEED these in your collection!

What colour should I get next?

First Impressions - Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

Hey guys,
I recently was lucky enough to purchase the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette, which was retailed at £39. This is a limited edition palette, so if you are wanting one & see one, grab it quickly as they're flying off the shelves. I managed to get mine online at Debenhams, but it sold out within hours. Whether they're getting anymore in, I'm not too sure, but do check your local Debenhams for availability. This is my first ever Too Faced palette! So, when I received this a few days ago I was dying to use it. But I've restrained myself, so this post is 100% my first impression.

When I first opened this palette, I fell in love with the colours. There's a good range of matte & shimmer shades. Although I do find the scent a little sickening, but that's the only bad word I have to say about this palette (bearing in mind everyone else really likes the scent, so don't let my comment put you off).

Just from looking at the palette I can tell my two favourite shades, Luscious & Bellini. They're both a beautiful rose gold, one more golden than the other. In my head I'm already creating some gorgeous looks using these colours. When swatching them, I feel in love even more.. & surprisingly feel in love with the shade 'Bless Her Heart' the greeny gold shade on the right of the image, which I thought was going to be my least used shade of the whole palette.

Sorry these images aren't that great, I used my left hand to take them (bad idea alix..), I haven't editing these, as I wanted you to see the true pigmentation of the swatches. Overall I'm thrilled with the pigmentation of these colours, although you can probably see some on the light, matte shades lack a little bit, but it's not like you can't see the colour at all. The shimmer shades are a lot more pigmented than the matte, which I'm so happy with. As some shimmer shades can lack colour but these are all beautiful!

I'm super impressed with Too Faced & this palette! It's definitely left me wanting to try the chocolate bar palettes.

What Too Faced Palettes do you recommend?

Highlighter Collection

Hey guys!
I thought I'd do a series of posts with mini collections of makeup, depending on how many views this one gets. First of all, I'd like to start by saying I know I haven't got the biggest collection of makeup compared to other bloggers, but I do buy everything myself & I am very proud of my makeup collection.

First up are on everyones wish list.. The Anastasia Glow Kits. I was one of those girls waiting with my money in my hand as soon as these dropped in the UK. I believe they're £39 each, which your initial thought is 'woah thats hella expensive!' but when you actually think about it, it's just under £10 per highlighter & they are the same size as a standard highlighter, so it works out pretty cheap. These are available to buy from Cult Beauty & Beauty Bay. My favourite of the two is That Glow, even though these are the darker shades of the two, they're more golden & lush. They'll be perfect for when I get back off holiday with a lovely tan.

Ok, so I think pretty much everyone owns this gorgeous highlighter, which is theBalms Mary-Lou Manizer, £17.50. This is mine & everyone else's favourite highlighter, if you do not own this, you're seriously missing out, it's the perfect colour (even if you're fair). I've heard people call theBalm a drugstore brand but the only place I can get it near me is in Debenhams or online.

This MAC Mineralize Skinfinish £24, was actually my first ever highlighter & I still really love it. I'm sure you've heard everyone rave about MACs Soft & Gentle. But for me, this one is absolutely gorgeous (although I have never swatched Soft & Gentle). It's a really lovely natural highlight for us with fairer skin tones or someone who doesn't like a harsh highlight.

This one I'm sure you're all bored reading about it now, with it being the Blogger Fav, so I'm not going to go on about it. Becca - Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop £32, the most gorgeous highlighter in my collection.

This one was part of Dior's Glowing Garden Collection £40, this was limited edition & I believe it's sold out near enough everywhere (sorry). I got it in the shade 002 Glowing Nude, it's this beautiful golden champagne colour & makes your skin look amazing.

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit £65, this did completely sell out everywhere as it is limited edition, but it's back in stock at
Net-A-Porter & you can buy it here. Not only has this palette got highlighting powders, it also has blushers & bronzers. This is one of my all time favourite palettes!

I have also got a couple more highlighters, which are either sticks or in palettes, but I decided against sharing these. Highlighters are my favourite makeup product as no two are exactly identical & I have many more on my wish list. I actually have a couple in the post eeeek!
Thankyou so much for reading

If this post gets enough views I'll carry on the series with my liquid lipstick collection.

Summer Holiday Lust List.

Hey guys,
It's been a while... again. Me & my friend were talking about how fed up we are with the English weather & spontaneously booked a holiday. So from the 28th of June I'll be in the Crete sunshine, drinking ice cold cocktails, I cannot wait! I've never actually been on holiday before (I know), so I'm incredibly excited. I've put together a little list of holiday bits which I'm lusting over, some which I've bought already, hehe. Be aware it's a very long one, so I'll keep it brief.

Asos

Asos 90s Strappy Playsuit With Tie Back & Pom Pom Hem £20 in Pale Berry. I also really love this playsuit in white, but the colour of this one would look so pretty with a tan. This is a easy throw on playsuit to wear over your bikini to walk to the beach.
South Beach Polly Crochet Longline Bikini Top £22 & South Beach Polly Crochet Tie Side Bikini Bottom £15, I'm a huge fan of anything crochet, so this bikini is a must from me!
Rock N Rose Reeta Engraved Drop Earrings £24, I don't really own much jewellery, I always wear the same. But these earrings are stunning & they'd be perfect for festivals as well!
Asos FILIGREE Leather Charm Flat Sandals £25, I really love these & they're reasonably priced for leather sandals.
Asos Jersey Bandeau Playsuit £15, again something really simple to wear over bikinis, this is perfect for someone who doesn't want tan lines where the straps are.

Urban Outfitters

Ecote Black Paisley Halter Neck Dress £46, this is more on the expensive side.. but it's a really pretty dress which will be perfect for evening and day wear.
Ecote Dylan Black & White Printed Dolphin Shorts £32, these haven't actually got dolphins on, from what I can see, but they're perfect just throw on shorts.
Moroccan Printed Cropped Bikini Top £18 & Moroccan Printed Side Tie Bikini Bottoms £12, super in love with the print on this bikini it's very boho & one which I'll feel comfortable wearing in the UK.

Forever 21

Crochet V-Cut Crop Top £13, I didn't realise how cheap forever 21 was!! I also adore this top in blush but it's currently out of stock in my size *sad face emoji*
Embroidered Lace Cami £13 again another great priced top, this is probably more one for the evening due to the fact it's high necked.. anything stopping me getting a tan during the day is a no, haha.
Abstract Print Halter Playsuit £9, I couldn't believe the price of this. It's so cheap! This would be perfect with a boho black belt.

boohoo

Kimi Boho Print Flippy Shorts £8 & Gracie Printed Ruffle Hem Flippy Shorts £8. Both of these are super cute & affordable! They can simply be paired with a strappy vest top.

That is all on my holiday lust list! I have already purchased some pieces from Topshop, but I decided not to include these as I may post a Holiday haul post nearer the time. The majority of these are pretty cheap so I hope I've given you some inspiration for your summer holiday!!

River Island Haul

Hey guys,
This post was actually meant to go up yesterday, but I completely forgot to schedule it.. silly me. Anyways, as I've bought a few River Island pieces in the past week, I thought I'd share with you what I bought. I never normally buy clothes from RI because I'm a Topshop addict!
But as it's now spring, & we're able to wear nicer clothing, I just couldn't resist.

First up, I bought this BEAUTIFUL Beige Cornelli Bralet for only £26! I think it looks so much more expensive than that. If you follow me on Twitter, I tweeted about these and how I want all the colours.. I did also order the pink, but I was expecting it to be the coral pink in the pictures on their website, but it was a really bright pink, so I returned it. When ordering this I saw they paired it with some gorgeous white cropped trousers...

Which lead me to purchasing them also (oops). These White Cropped Wide Leg Trousers were £38. Which is quite expensive, but when they came I can totally see why. They're made with such quality, the material is really thick & they're not a true white, more of an off white, which I actually prefer as it makes them look more expensive. These go perfectly with the bralet, I can totally see why they matched them together!

I also purchase this 'Light Blue' Faux Suede Biker Jacket for £60, which I would actually class it as grey, but never mind. Although for something which isn't real leather, it is more on the pricey side of jackets. But it's incredibly soft, & will go with so many outfits. I cannot wait for it to get a little warmer so I'm able to wear this piece, it's stunning. It's also available in many other colours, firstly I was going to purchase the coral one, but luckily I didn't as I saw it in the store & it's a lot brighter than it appears on the website.

On the topic of coats/jackets, I purchase this gorgeous Light Beige Faux
Suede Trench Coat, £80. If you haven't guessed already, I adore suede, but it can be so very expensive so I can settle for faux. I have already worn this coat a few times, it just makes your outfits look so classy. This picture doesn't do the coat any justice. This one is a limited edition piece, so get your hands on it while you can, just like I did. It's so worth the money & will get lots of wear out of it, in the upcoming spring months.

Lastly I bought is Light Pink Bardot Bodycon Midi Dress £55. I actually had no intention of buying this dress.. I saw it online & I was in love but I just couldn't justify the price tag. When I saw it in store though, the last one, in my size... I knew it was meant to be. You'll most likely always see me in a midi dress on a night out, as the style compliments my hourglass body shape the best.

That rounds up my RI splurge. I'm surprised at how many lovely pieces they've got at the moment, as I'm normally not a fan of their clothing.
Have you picked up anything from RI recently?

Payday Shopping List

Hey guys,
I didn't post last week as I had so much going on, this seems to be a reaccurring excuse, I know... But when I'm overloaded at work it's just nice to spend some time relaxing & going out with my friends. But I'm back now, so hopefully I'll be able to post more often. This is the second time I've done this kind of post, but last time I'll admit, I didn't stick to it. I'm hoping this time I'll at least buy a few things on my list. I also hope this gives you guys a little inspiration for when you deserve a treat or have just been paid.

Ever since I purchased Bad Habit & Dopey from Colourpop I knew I have to grow my collection! They're insanely good lipsticks & not drying at all. The colours I'm lusting over are Beeper, Teeny Tiny & Mess Around. I think these are perfect colours for everyday & evenings. Beeper & Teeny Tiny are from their Ultra Matte range & Mess Around is from their newer Ultra Satin range. The Ultra Satin range is perfect for those who find the Ultra Mattes too drying for their lips. But both have amazing pigmentation & are so long lasting! Colourpop liquid lipsticks are around $6 but if you're buying them from the UK you're looking at around £10 on places like Ebay & Depop. Of course be careful who you're buying from & make sure what you're getting is 100% genuine, as you don't want to be wasting your money on fake products, as you don't know what you're getting. I recommend lillyjam on Depop, she's a lovely girl selling brand new, genuine Colourpop lipsticks for £9.95.

Next up, I've got a 20% off Asos, so obviously I'll be using it to get a bit of a discount on makeup! I totally want to try Benefits Dew the Hoola £22.50 & their Hoola Bronzing & Contour Brush £17.50. I've heard amazing things about this liquid bronzer, & if their powder Hoola wasn't hyped about enough, this one sure will be! Being a person who's never tried Benefit's original Hoola, I'm super excited about this one! Isn't this brush so cute? I must admit, I do want the brush because of how it looks...

Lastly on my list are these BEAUTIFUL Spectrum Brushes, these gorgeous things are from their Marbleous Collection (which I love!), being obsessed with marble I knew I have to have these, along with their marble makeup bag! The whole set costs £64.99 or you can buy just the eye set or face set for £34.99, all which can be purchased here & their beautiful marble bag is £16.99 which you can purchase here. These are definitely a NEED!

And that is all what's on my shopping list this month!
What are you wanting to get your hands on?

Liquid Lipstick Comparison

Hey guys,
After recently obsessing over liquid lipsticks, I thought I'd do a comparison over three brands. Everyone's loving liquid lipsticks at the minute due to their intense colour payoff. The three brands I'll be comparing are MAC, Colourpop & Dose of Colors. All three brands I absolutely adore so I'll be completely honest.

L-R: MAC 'Dance With Me', Colourpop 'Bad Habit' & Dose of Colors 'Bare With Me'

Packaging: There's a clear winner when it comes to the packaging, Dose of Colors has a gorgeous frosted glass tube with their simple logo, I think this one looks the most expensive of the three. Second will have to be MAC, I love how they've included their classic black bullet lid. Last would be Colourpop, it's not that I don't like this packaging, but I prefer the smaller tubes.

Colour Pigmentation: This will have to be a tie between Dose of Colors & Colourpop. Both beautiful colours which only need one coat on the lips. I don't know whether it's because the MAC is a dark colour, but I find this can dry quite patchy in places, although once applied it lasts all day.

Applicator: my favourite here will have to be the MAC applicator, it's the perfect shape to get into the outer corners of the lips & get the perfect cupids bow, with the pointed edge. The other two have just the standard shaped applicator, which I find a little harder to fill the lips perfectly.

Quality & Price: All these liquid lipsticks are of high quality, but I find the one which stands out because of its texture is Dose of Colors, it's a lovely moussey consistency which is non-drying, nor tacky. The cheapest of the three is Colourpop which is $6, then Dose of Colors £14.50 & then MAC £21.

Overall: I was most excited about the Colourpop as you're unable to get these in the UK at the minute, & being from the UK I'm so jealous of what we're missing out on. But my favourite has to be the Dose of Colors, due to the fact I love the colour & it lasts for hours! Close second is Colourpop, this would of been my favourite if I'd had bought a more wearable colour for everyday wear, but if you ever get a chance to try one of these I totally recommend them! And last is MAC, I think it's because I bought a darker colour which dries patchy, but I'd still repurchase this product in a more nudey colour.

MAC is available here
ColourPop is available here
Dose of Colors is available here

If you're from the UK, to avoid paying more expensive shipping, you can purchase Dose of Colors from beautybay here

A Little Drugstore Haul

Hey guys,
I did so well posting every Monday & Thursday in February but since coming into March I've let myself down! Really sorry that this is my first post of the month, it's all been very hectic in my house. Anyway... back to the point of this post. So I never buy drugstore makeup, this is because I never went through that stage of being 14-15, buying my first makeup in boots, I was very naive & went straight to benefit. So I missed the whole stage of trying out loads of products. But now I work & earn my own money, I'm starting to release I can't afford to buy the best of the best all the time. So I went into boots to buy a few bits to wear for work, as I want to save my high end makeup for weekends & evenings. The main thing I wanted to get was a foundation as I was using my Chanel one for work & it's just too expensive for everyday wear.

So that's when I went over to the L'Oreal counter, because out of all the drugstore brands I thought L'Oreal appeared to be the most trustworthy & a lot of people talk about it. It's not one of the cheapest in the drugstore so I'm expecting them to be decent products. Boots ALWAYS have offers on! So when I saw it was 3 for 2 I was like 'YASSS', & picked up these three items. First I picked up the Infallible 24H Matte Foundation £7.99, which is sooo cheap for a foundation. A lot of people talk about this foundation & say how amazing it is, so I'm trying it out. I got the shade Vanilla, which I'm hoping is the right shade as I matched myself.. & with that I bought the Infallible Mattifying Base Primer £7.99, as again I've read a million reviews on this product. I love primers, I could literally buy so many as they just make your skin feel incredible! And lastly, from L'Oreal I bought the Infallible Sculpt Contour Palette in Light/Medium £9.99, I love contouring & highlighting my face. This product is amazing for beginners, as it's cheap & only has two shades, so you can't go wrong. I'm still yet to splurge on an Anastasia Contour Palette, but it's just one of those things I really want but can't justify buying it right now.

Next up I went to the Soap & Glory counter, as everyone secretly loves them & bought two of the highlight & sculpt sticks. I've been eyeing these up every since Emily Canham mentioned them in one of her videos. So while I was there I thought.. why not? I got the Wonderbronze & Glow All Out these are on offer at the moment for £6 each but originally are £8 which is still really good! I haven't tried these on my face yet but I've swatched them in store & they are gorgeous!! It's a close dupe for the Clinique Chubby Stick, which I've always wanted to buy but the lady who works at my local Clinique counter was really rude & unhelpful, that I refuse to buy anything from her. But if you're in to contouring & highlighting I definitely recommend you try these out!

The main reason I went into Boots was for the Nivea Primers, I've heard so much about them & how good they are, that I just couldn't resist! I went for the Nivea Express Hydration Primer for Dry & Sensitive Skin £5.25 & the Nivea Express Hydration Primer for Normal & Combination Skin £4.99. The reason I got both is somedays my skin is dryer than others, & in the summer I get quite oily skin, but not all year round. I've only tried the one for dry skin &.. OMG, this has been a lifesaver. No more flaky foundation. I cannot put it into words how much I love this primer, I don't think I'll ever be going back! It's just amazing! I definitely recommend it you have dry skin, it's more of a moisturising primer rather than a matte silky primer. Perfect for giving you a bit of a dewy finish. I can really see why these are raved about so much.

And that about covers it all. I'm really excited to try out new brands & probably will be returning to the drugstore to purchase more cheap goodies. If they're any drugstore recommendations please leave a comment below! As I want to try so many things, I just don't know where to start!
Thankyou for reading.
